From 2003 to 2009, I was trained by the Swiss artist Fausto Corda on drawing and painting at the Atelier 99 in Gordola, Switzerland.

In 2010 I studied abstract painting at the Art Students League of New York under the instruction of Larry Poons- one of America’s preeminent abstract artists – and Frank O'Cain, who has a particular interest in approaches to space in abstract painting.

My work is purely abstract, drawing from emotional experience and personal interaction. It reflects friendships, conversations, places, nature, atmospheres and sentiments.

My artistic vocabulary incorporates, on the one hand, elements of chance and accident, and on the other, dimensions of carefully planned design. These come together in a kaleidoscope of colors and forms that interact to create a vibrant pictorial space. I seek to create a constant interplay between depth and surface, between receding and advancing planes of color.

Given the close link between my painting and my day to day experience, my works document my ongoing personal evaluation and the changing contexts in which I find myself.
